Ingenue: A Concert Workshop

By Deborah Gross

Directed by Michael Swartz

Musical Direction by Kristofer Barber

“Ingenue” is the story of a girl, Valerie Finkel, who longs for nothing more than to play the “sweet, young thing.” She writes a play, starring herself as this archetypal female in order to fulfill her girlhood fantasy. With a cast of characters including Jiminy Roach, the evil producer, and her sweet simple love interest, Davey, Valerie learns that being the “ingenue” may not be all it’s cracked up to be.
